About this item

This Ban Bati is a classic Assamese footed bowl handcrafted in bell metal (Kansa) by the metalsmiths of Sarthebari and Hajo. A deep, rounded bowl with fine engraved rings rests on a slim waisted stem and flared base, giving it an elegant chalice-like profile. It stands about 15 cm tall with a 14 cm mouth and weighs around 500 g. Use it to serve payas, kheer, sweets or curries, or to hold offerings during puja and Namghar rituals. A graceful heirloom piece that adds tradition to the dining table and makes a thoughtful wedding or Bihu gift.
