About this item
This jewellery box is inspired by the woodcraft of the Naga tribes, where the Mithun is revered as a symbol of wealth and prosperity. The front is hand-carved with two Mithun heads in relief, and the wood is darkened by traditional smoke treatment for an aged, earthy look. Natural fibre tassels and a tied closure add tribal character. Measuring about 20 x 17 cm, it holds jewellery, keepsakes, letters and trinkets. A collectible décor piece and a unique gift for art lovers. Being handcrafted, slight variations in colour, size and pattern make each piece unique.
