About this item

This Hati Khujia Bati is a jumbo Assamese serving bowl handcrafted in bell metal (Kansa) by the metalsmiths of Sarthebari and Hajo. Its wide, deep body has a bright polished golden interior and rim, while the lower outer surface keeps a darkened, unpolished finish typical of hand-beaten kansa. Measuring about 28 cm in diameter and 11 cm in height, it is ideal for serving rice, curries, pitha or payas to the whole family and guests. A striking centrepiece for Bihu feasts, weddings and community meals, and a treasured heirloom gift for loved ones.
